Damson Idris, whose full name is Adamson Alade-Bo "Damson" Idris, is a British-Nigerian actor, entrepreneur, and film producer. He was born in London, England, and is best known for starring as Franklin Saint in the FX crime drama series Snowfall, which ran from 2017 to 2023.
He studied Theatre, Film & Television Studies at Brunel University London and also trained at the Identity School of Acting. In addition to his lead role in Snowfall, his film credits include co-leading the Netflix sci-fi action film Outside the Wire (2021) and starring as a Formula One driver in the 2025 sports drama film F1. He also appeared in films like Farming (2018), The Commuter (2018), and the television series Black Mirror.
He has received several awards for his work, including the BET Award for Best Actor in 2023 and the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series in 2024, both for Snowfall.
