Darren Criss is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. He first gained internet fame as a founding member of StarKid Productions, where he starred as Harry Potter and composed music for the fan-favorite musical comedy A Very Potter Musical.

He transitioned to mainstream global prominence with his role as Blaine Anderson on the Fox musical comedy-drama series Glee (2010–2015). His performance featured several hit music covers, including a widely successful rendition of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream". Beyond Glee, Criss earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of spree killer Andrew Cunanan in FX's The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (2018), earning an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for his lead role.

In addition to his television career, Criss is a prolific stage actor and musician. He has starred in Broadway productions such as How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and American Buffalo. He co-founded Elsie Fest, an annual NYC music festival celebrating musical theater, and continues to write and release original music as a solo artist.
