Jada Pinkett Smith is an American actress, businesswoman, and talk show host.
She began her career in the early 1990s, with a big break on the sitcom A Different World, and went on to star in films such as Menace II Society, The Nutty Professor, Set It Off, Scream 2, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, and the Madagascar animated film franchise (voicing Gloria the Hippo). She also had starring roles on television in the series Hawthorne and Gotham.
In addition to acting, she was the lead vocalist of the nu metal band Wicked Wisdom. She is a co-host of the popular multi-generational talk show, Red Table Talk, for which she has won a Daytime Emmy Award. She has also worked as a producer, notably for the Broadway musical Fela! and through the company Westbrook, which she co-founded with her husband, Will Smith. She has two children, Jaden and Willow Smith.
