JT Money is an American rapper from Miami, Florida, whose real name is Jeffrey Jermaine Thompkins.
He first rose to prominence in the early 1990s as the lead member of the hip-hop group Poison Clan, known for songs like "Shake Whatcha Mama Gave Ya" and "Dance All Night."
Later, as a solo artist, he achieved mainstream success with his 1999 single "Who Dat" (featuring Sole) from his debut solo album Pimpin' on Wax.
JT Money is considered a prominent figure in Southern hip-hop, known for his distinctive style which blends reality rap and social commentary. He continues to release music, with his latest album Immortal released in 2024.
