Kali Uchis (born Karly Marina Loaiza) is an American-Colombian singer and songwriter.
Her music is known for being genre-bending, often mixing R&B, neo-soul, doo-wop, hip-hop, and various Latin music styles like bolero, reggaeton, and cumbia. This unique sound reflects her bicultural upbringing, splitting her time between Alexandria, Virginia, and Pereira, Colombia.
She gained widespread recognition with her debut album Isolation (2018) and achieved significant success with her predominantly Spanish-language album Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) (2020), which featured the viral hit "Telepatía." Her subsequent albums, Red Moon in Venus (2023) and Orquídeas (2024), have further cemented her status as a versatile, international artist. She is also noted for her distinct, vintage-inspired visual aesthetic and her bilingual work in both English and Spanish.
