Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, is an American musician, singer, rapper, and songwriter.
He initially gained prominence in the Detroit hip-hop scene before breaking into mainstream success with a rap rock sound, notably with his 1998 album Devil Without a Cause. His music is known for blending various genres, including hip-hop, rock, heavy metal, and country. Later in his career, starting around 2007, his style shifted predominantly toward country rock.
He is a self-taught musician and has overseen the production of most of his albums. His popular singles include "Bawitdaba," "Cowboy," "Picture" (featuring Sheryl Crow), and "All Summer Long."
