King Von, full name Dayvon Daquan Bennett (August 9, 1994 – November 6, 2020), was an American rapper and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. He was a preeminent figure in the drill subgenre of hip-hop music, known for his storytelling and distinctive lyricism that often drew from his personal experiences in Chicago's South Side, specifically the Parkway Garden Homes, also known as "O'Block." Signed to Lil Durk's Only the Family label, his popular tracks include "Crazy Story" and "Took Her to the O." He released one studio album, Welcome to O'Block, during his lifetime, with two posthumous albums following his death from gunshot wounds in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2020.
