Mark Addy is an English actor well-known for his roles in both film and television. His most famous movie role is as Dave Horsefall in the critically acclaimed film The Full Monty (1997), a role which earned him a BAFTA nomination and which he reprised in a 2023 TV series sequel. On television, he is widely recognized for playing King Robert Baratheon in the first season of the HBO series Game of Thrones. His other prominent TV credits include DC Gary Boyle in the British sitcom The Thin Blue Line and Bill Miller in the American sitcom Still Standing. His filmography also includes playing Fred Flintstone in The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (2000), Roland in A Knight's Tale (2001), and Friar Tuck in Robin Hood (2010).
