Matt Bomer is an American actor.

He was born Matthew Staton Bomer on October 11, 1977, in Webster Groves, Missouri. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2000.

Bomer made his television debut in 2000 on the soap opera All My Children and later appeared in Guiding Light. He gained a higher profile from his recurring role as Bryce Larkin in the NBC series Chuck. He is most widely known for playing the lead role of con artist Neal Caffrey in the USA Network police-procedural drama series White Collar from 2009 to 2014, a role for which he won a People's Choice Award.

His film credits include roles in Magic Mike (2012) and its sequel Magic Mike XXL (2015), The Nice Guys (2016), and the 2020 film adaptation of the play The Boys in the Band. On television, he starred in the TV film The Normal Heart (2014), which earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or Motion Picture Made for Television. He has also appeared in the anthology series American Horror Story, starred in the Max series Doom Patrol (2019–2023), and the miniseries Fellow Travelers (2023).

Bomer is married to publicist Simon Halls and they have three children.
