Nile Wilson is a former British artistic gymnast who was born on January 17, 1996, in Leeds, England.
He is best known for winning a bronze medal on the horizontal bar at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, making him the first British gymnast to achieve this on that apparatus. He also secured a silver medal with the British team at the 2015 World Championships.
Wilson is a five-time Commonwealth Games champion, including winning the all-around title in 2018. He was also the first British gymnast to win five gold medals at the European Junior Gymnastics Championships in 2014. He announced his retirement from competitive gymnastics in January 2021 due to injuries.
He is also a popular figure on YouTube with his channel, "Nile Wilson," where he posts vlogs about his workouts, daily life, and gymnastics.
