Rachel Anne McAdams is a Canadian actress. She was born on November 17, 1978, in London, Ontario, and grew up in St. Thomas, Ontario. She graduated from York University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theater.
She rose to fame in 2004 with starring roles in the comedy film Mean Girls and the romantic drama The Notebook. She has appeared in a wide range of films, including:
