Ryan Gosling is a Canadian actor, musician, and producer born on November 12, 1980, in London, Ontario. He began his career as a child star on The Mickey Mouse Club in the 1990s, alongside future celebrities like Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. Gosling gained critical acclaim for roles in independent films such as Half Nelson (2006), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
