Sharky (real name Sharmarke Mohamud) is a popular Dutch-born British YouTuber, digital content creator, and entertainer. Born in 1995 in the Netherlands to a Somali family, he later moved to the United Kingdom, where he grew up in London.
He launched his personal YouTube channel in 2015 under the handle afcSharky. As a massive Arsenal F.C. fan, his earliest videos primarily focused on FIFA gameplay, football commentary, and sports vlogs. Over the years, he expanded his solo channel—now simply named Sharky—to include high-energy challenges, pranks, public experiments, and comedy skits, building a personal following of over 1.4 million subscribers. He is well-known for his quick, sarcastic humor and self-deprecating wit.
Sharky is most famous as a founding member of the Beta Squad, an incredibly popular British YouTube collective formed in 2019 that includes fellow creators Niko Omilana, Chunkz, AJ Shabeel, and King Kenny.
