Sofía Vergara is a Colombian and American actress and television personality. Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, she is known for her roles, most notably as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on the popular sitcom Modern Family (2009–2020), a role for which she received multiple Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
She began her career as a model, appearing in a Pepsi commercial at age 17, and later became a TV host for Spanish-language network Univision in the late 1990s. In recent years, she has also been a judge on the talent show America's Got Talent and starred as drug trafficker Griselda Blanco in the Netflix limited series Griselda (2024). She is also a successful businesswoman with various ventures, including a clothing line and fragrance collection.
