Jenna Fischer is an American actress best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the NBC sitcom The Office (2005–2013), for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2007.
Born Regina Marie Fischer on March 7, 1974, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater and a minor in journalism. Before her breakout role on The Office, she worked as an office temp for five years.
In addition to her acting work, she has also been a producer and director. She wrote, directed, and starred in the 2004 mockumentary LolliLove. She was also a producer for the final season of The Office and produced the film The Giant Mechanical Man (2012), which was directed by her husband, Lee Kirk.
Her other film roles include Blades of Glory (2007), Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007), Hall Pass (2011), Brad's Status (2017), The 15:17 to Paris (2018), and Mean Girls (2024). On television, she has also had starring roles in the shows You, Me and the Apocalypse and Splitting Up Together.
She co-hosts a rewatch podcast for The Office called Office Ladies with her former co-star and best friend, Angela Kinsey. The two also co-authored the book The Office BFFs: Tales from The Office from Two Best Friends Who Were There. Fischer has also written the book The Actor's Life.
She has two children with her husband, screenwriter Lee Kirk. She was previously married to director James Gunn.
