Corey Todd Taylor (born December 8, 1973) is an American musician, songwriter, author, and actor.

He is best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist for the multi-platinum heavy metal band Slipknot, where he is known by his designation, #8. He is also the lead vocalist and guitarist for the hard rock/alternative metal band Stone Sour, a group he co-founded in 1992.

Taylor is recognized in the music world for his impressive vocal range and his ability to switch between melodic singing, screaming, and growling. He is also a published author, having written several books, including Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good and You're Making Me Hate You: An Uncommon Guide to Common Sense. He has also released two solo studio albums, CMFT and CMF2.
