Tessa Thompson is an American actress known for her dynamic roles across both blockbuster and independent films, as well as television. She initially gained critical recognition for her work in the films Dear White People (2014) and Selma (2014). She is highly recognizable to mainstream audiences for her major franchise roles: playing Bianca Taylor, the love interest of Adonis Creed, in the Creed film series, and as the Asgardian warrior Valkyrie (later King Valkyrie) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Endgame, and Thor: Love and Thunder. On television, she starred as Charlotte Hale in the HBO science fiction series Westworld.
