William, Prince of Wales, born William Arthur Philip Louis on 21 June 1982, is the elder son of King Charles III and Diana, Princess of Wales. Heir apparent to the British throne, he was educated at Ludgrove, Eton College, and the University of St Andrews, where he met his wife, Catherine Middleton. They married in 2011 and have three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
He served in the Royal Air Force as a search-and-rescue pilot and later with the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Created Duke of Cambridge on his wedding day, he became Prince of Wales in 2022. Known for mental-health advocacy through Heads Together and environmental work via the Earthshot Prize, he carries out hundreds of royal engagements yearly while balancing family life at Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall. At 6 ft 3 in, he is the tallest British heir in history.
