Aaron Charles Rodgers (born December 2, 1983) is an American professional football quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He is widely considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the sport.
Rodgers played college football at the University of California, Berkeley, and was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. After serving as the backup to Brett Favre for three seasons, he became the Packers' starting quarterback in 2008.
His major career accomplishments include a Super Bowl XLV championship with the Packers, where he was named Super Bowl MVP. He is a four-time NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) award winner (2011, 2014, 2020, 2021) and a ten-time Pro Bowl selection. Rodgers holds numerous NFL records, including the best career touchdown-to-interception ratio and the lowest career interception percentage. He played for the Packers for 18 seasons (2005–2022) before being traded to the New York Jets in 2023, and later joining the Steelers in 2025.
