Andre Rush is an American celebrity chef and retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant. He is known for having worked as a chef in the White House for four administrations: Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump.
He is also widely recognized for his muscular physique and large biceps, which gained him significant attention on social media after a photograph of him cooking on the White House lawn went viral in 2018.
Rush advocates for military service and suicide prevention, stating that he does 2,222 push-ups daily to raise awareness for the number of veterans who die by suicide every day. He has a background in hand-to-hand combat training and was a member of the United States Culinary Arts Team, winning numerous medals and trophies. He is also a master ice carver, motivational speaker, and life coach.
He has been featured in the media for his intense fitness routine and diet and has starred in the television show Kitchen Commando. He is also the author of the memoir, Call Me Chef, Dammit!
