Axl Rose is an American singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist for the iconic hard rock band Guns N' Roses.

He was born William Bruce Rose Jr. on February 6, 1962, and is the band's only constant member since its formation in 1985. He is widely recognized for his powerful and wide-ranging vocal ability, often cited as one of the greatest singers in rock history.

Guns N' Roses achieved massive worldwide success with their debut album, "Appetite for Destruction" (1987), which is one of the best-selling debut albums of all time. Rose is also known for his energetic, sometimes unpredictable, stage presence and his charismatic, yet controversial, public persona throughout the band's heyday in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

After the band's original lineup fractured, Rose remained the sole official member, leading to the highly anticipated and long-delayed 2008 album "Chinese Democracy." He later toured as the lead singer for the band AC/DC in 2016 and subsequently reunited with classic Guns N' Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan for successful world tours.
