Jamie Foxx, born Eric Marlon Bishop, is an American actor, comedian, singer, and producer known for his versatility in the entertainment industry.

He initially rose to fame as a cast member on the sketch comedy show In Living Color in the early 1990s and later starred in his own sitcom, The Jamie Foxx Show.

His career breakthrough as a dramatic actor came with his acclaimed, Academy Award-winning portrayal of musician Ray Charles in the 2004 biopic Ray. That same year, he received an Oscar nomination for his supporting role in the film Collateral. His other notable films include Django Unchained, Dreamgirls, and Just Mercy.
