Tobey Maguire is an American actor and film producer, born on June 27, 1975.

He is best known globally for starring as Peter Parker / Spider-Man in director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy (2002–2007). He later reprised this iconic role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

Maguire began his career in the 1990s with critically acclaimed roles in films like The Ice Storm (1997), Pleasantville (1998), The Cider House Rules (1999), and Wonder Boys (2000).

Beyond his superhero work, he has had leading roles in dramas such as Seabiscuit (2003), Brothers (2009)—for which he received a Golden Globe nomination—and The Great Gatsby (2013), where he played the narrator, Nick Carraway. He also starred as Bobby Fischer in the 2014 biopic Pawn Sacrifice.

He also works as a producer through his company, Material Pictures. Maguire is known for his close, long-time friendship with actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
