Jarell Amorin Quansah (born January 29, 2003) is a 23-year-old English professional soccer player who plays as a centre-back for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen and the England national team. Standing at 6 ft 3 in (1.90 m), he is a tall, physical defender highly regarded for his strong composure and ability on the ball.

Club Career

Liverpool FC: Quansah joined Liverpool’s academy at the age of six and progressed through every youth level. He had a brief, successful developmental loan spell at Bristol Rovers in early 2023. He broke into the Liverpool first team during the 2023–24 season under Jürgen Klopp, establishing himself as a key rotation player and helping the club lift the EFL Cup and eventually the Premier League title in 2024–25.

Bayer Leverkusen: In July 2025, Quansah transferred to German club Bayer Leverkusen for a reported fee of €41.3 million. He integrated quickly into German football, making 28 Bundesliga appearances and scoring 4 goals during the 2025–26 campaign.

International Career

Quansah has been a regular presence throughout England's youth ranks. He won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2022 (where he was named to the Team of the Tournament) and the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2025.

He made his senior international debut under Thomas Tuchel in November 2025. Most recently, he was named to England's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring in multiple matches as England went on to secure a third-place finish.
