Kenan Thompson is an American actor and comedian known for his extensive career in television and film.
He is the longest-tenured cast member in the history of the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live (SNL), having been a cast member since 2003. He also holds the record for performing the most celebrity impressions on the show.
Thompson began his career as a child actor on Nickelodeon, where he was one of the original stars of the sketch comedy series All That. His popular collaboration with Kel Mitchell on that show led to their own sitcom, Kenan & Kel, which ran from 1996 to 2000. He also starred in the movie Good Burger (1997).
His film roles include the The Mighty Ducks franchise and playing the title character in Fat Albert (2004). He has been nominated for multiple Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on SNL, winning one in 2018 for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the song "Come Back, Barack." He also starred in the NBC sitcom Kenan from 2021 to 2022.
He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2022.
