Rhett James McLaughlin (born October 11, 1977) is half of the American comedy duo, Rhett & Link, along with his lifelong best friend, Charles Lincoln "Link" Neal III. They are self-styled as "Internetainers" and are primarily known for creating and hosting the popular daily YouTube series, Good Mythical Morning (GMM).
McLaughlin was born in Macon, Georgia, and later moved to Buies Creek, North Carolina, where he and Link met in elementary school. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He and Link began creating comedy and musical videos on YouTube and later launched Good Mythical Morning in 2012.
Through their production company, Mythical Entertainment, they manage various media properties, including the GMM spin-off Good Mythical MORE and the cooking channel Mythical Kitchen. McLaughlin is married to Jessie McLaughlin, and they have two children, Locke and Shepherd.
