Tatyana Marisol Ali is an American actress and singer. She is most widely recognized for her role as Ashley Banks on the popular NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which aired from 1990 to 1996.
Her career started when she was a child, appearing as a regular performer on Sesame Street and later in the Broadway production of Fences. After The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, she continued her acting career in various films and television projects, including a recurring role as Roxanne on the soap opera The Young and the Restless from 2007 to 2013 and a main role as Tyana Jones on the TV One series Love That Girl! She also returned to the Fresh Prince universe, portraying Mrs. Hughes in the reboot series Bel-Air in 2023.
As a singer, she released her debut album, Kiss the Sky, in 1998, which was certified gold and included the hit single "Daydreamin'." She is a graduate of Harvard University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies and Government/Political Science in 2002.
