Dax Shepard is an American actor, comedian, filmmaker, and podcaster.
He is known for his roles in films such as Without a Paddle (2004), Employee of the Month (2006), and Idiocracy (2006).
On television, he is recognized for playing Crosby Braverman in the NBC drama series Parenthood (2010–2015) and Luke Matthews in the Netflix show The Ranch. He also appeared early in his career on the MTV reality series Punk'd.
He has also taken on writing and directing roles for projects including the films Hit and Run (2012) and CHiPs (2017).
Since 2018, he has hosted the popular podcast Armchair Expert, where he interviews celebrities, journalists, and academics.
He is married to actress Kristen Bell.
